Top Footballer Mousa Dembélé Surprises UZA Children with a Visit

16 December 2019

On Monday afternoon, the children at the University Hospital Antwerp (UZA) received an unforgettable visit from none other than top footballer Mousa Dembélé. As an ambassador for the Jan Vertonghen Foundation, he brought not only smiles to the young patients’ faces but also a dose of positivity and fun.

Mousa Dembélé, known for his impressive career at clubs like Tottenham Hotspur and the Belgian Red Devils, took time on Monday afternoon to surprise the children at UZA. Alongside his good friend and colleague Jan Vertonghen, founder of the Jan Vertonghen Foundation, he played table football, handed out autographs, and posed for countless selfies.

For the children, it was a welcome distraction from their daily challenges. “It’s amazing to see how a simple gesture can have such a big impact,” said Dembélé. “These kids are real heroes, and I’m glad I could be part of their day.”
