RUN TOM & NICO!
7 September 2022
On October 23rd, Nico and Tom will be at the start of the half marathon in Valencia, aiming to raise 5,000 euros for the Jan Vertonghen Foundation.
hola todas,
My name is Nico, and I live with my family in Spain. My New Year’s resolution for 2022 was to do something outside of my comfort zone. So, it turned out to be a 21-kilometer race. Those who know me are aware that I have the physique of a 70-year-old man – a new hip, a crippled back… And all the people who’ve played football with me know me as the guy who always came in last during the pre-season running.
The longest distance I’ve ever run is 10 km (4 years ago in Valencia), so 21 km is more than double. Back then, I raised almost 1,000 euros for a childhood cancer charity; this time, we’re aiming for 5,000 euros, which is 5 times more than before. I solemnly promise to do everything I can to complete the 21 km – do you promise to support us so we can reach the 5,000 euros?
Hello everybody,
My name is Tom, and I’d like to ask for your attention for a moment. Nico Brams and I are in full preparation, hoping to deliver an outstanding performance on Sunday, October 23rd, during the 1/2 marathon in the beautiful city of Valencia.
We want to add an extra challenge to this adventure. We’re raising money for the Jan Vertonghen Foundation, specifically for murals in the children’s ward of a hospital.
Why murals, you might ask? It’s proven that murals give sick children hope and comfort, helping distract them during treatments, like when they get an injection.
Our goal is to raise 5,000 euros: challenging but definitely achievable!
Every donation via the Jan Vertonghen Foundation account number BE25 0018 3700 3982, with the mention RUN TOM & NICO, brings us closer to our goal.
Let’s run/go for it!
